Building Control Quality Award

 

In January 2007 the Cardiff Council Building Control held their annual award ceremony where local building companies receive recognition for building projects in the Cardiff area. 

Technique Design & Build were nominated and received an award for their design and quality of works for a two storey extension and alterations to a property at Ffordd Cwellyn, Penylan, Cardiff. 

The program of works for this project was to extend the property on the ground and first floor by 4 meters. 

The rear ground floor room was transformed in to a media centre with sunken plasma screen television and discreet mood lights. Patio doors provided access onto a decking area from which views to the west of the city could be enjoyed. 

Adjacent was the dynamic kitchen and dining area, the main feature being the central island which housed the sink and hob. Patio doors also feature in this room again opening out onto the garden decking. 

The transformation on the first floor created a large bedroom with luxury en suite bathroom and dressing room. The room was fitted with air conditioning and again mood lighting.  

Additional feature being the Juliet Balcony which brought a panoramic westerly view of the Vale of Glamorgan.
